The "Near" New York Times

Jersey City's premier [only] satirical journal

In March 2020, Carter overthrew the editor-in-chief of The Jersey City Inquisitor in a bloodless - but nonetheless very wet - coup. He established a parliamentary democracy based entirely on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater IV, which collapsed within minutes. The last existing relic of this empire is a quaint satirical newsletter which he publishes once a week, unless he forgets (he's forgotten since 2023).
